About Us

While completing my PhD in organic chemistry, I became away that people were often too intimidated to ask about my research. They assumed my work was too complicated to understand, which created a barrier before the conversation could even start. However, when I broke down my work into simpler terms not only did people understand what I was doing, but they became genuinely curious and excited to learn more.

This experience revealed something important to me. People often fear science and technology as they are often viewed that they are too complex or out of reach. This keeps so many people from exploring topics that are not only fascinating but also deeply relevant to their lives. I wanted to change that by making science more approachable and relatable, breaking down those intimidating walls that hold people back.

Barely Understood grew out of this passion for connecting people to the incredible world of science and technology. By simplifying without oversimplifying, I aim to inspire curiosity and show that these topics are not only understandable but also endlessly exciting.

Let’s Learn Together
